Windows
The longest list. At the top sits the Full Driver & Software Package, which Brother describes as a comprehensive file containing the available drivers and software for the machine — a large download, around two hundred megabytes for a current laser. Beneath it, under Drivers, sits the Printer Driver, described by Brother as a download that includes only the printer driver, and for some models an XML Paper Specification driver for applications that use that format.
Then Firmware, with the Firmware Update Tool, and two further categories of utilities and management tools that exist mainly for offices: the Brother iPrint&Scan desktop application, a wireless setup helper, and the BRAdmin administration tools. Windows itself also supplies an in-box driver for many models, which is why a Brother laser often prints before any of these is fetched.
